The 2022 biennale explores what lies beyond the identity of Central and Eastern Europe as a space in-between, caught up between belonging to “Fortress Europe” and remaining Europe’s periphery. The biennale will examine the power in vulnerability and resilience. It will incorporate the “minor” perspectives of children, enthusiasts, the illiterate, and kidults, and the “poor” experiences of the chronically ill, prematurely deceased, or monstrous as agents who act, create, and deliberate meanings.

Komunity, kolektívy a spoločenstvá sú v posledných rokoch mobilizované v umeleckej a kultúrnej teórii a praxi ako nástroje konfrontácie neoliberálnej súťaživosti, ale aj kapitalistickej posadnutosti vyťažovať hodnotu zo všetkého a z čohokoľvek. Bez toho, že by cieľom bolo popierať potenciál komunitných postupov pri experimentovaní s novými formátmi zdieľania, výber textov pre Artalk Revue 6 má sprostredkovať najmä kritický pohľad na ne. Sériu piatich textov tvoria štúdie z prostredí, ktoré presahujú umeleckú prax smerom do spoločenskovedných disciplín: konkrétne sú to štúdie športových komunít (Kristína Országhová), neonacistickej scény v konfrontácii s ANTIFA v Čechách v 90. rokoch (Ondřej Slačálek), obyvateľov sociálne vylúčeného domu (RUVK), ruských superbohatých (Elisabeth Schimpfössl) a sociálnych sietí (Jodi Dean).
